More Genital Herpes questions please visit :Genital-Herpes-Warts.com

Is genital herpes curable?if yes, next to what?
at hand is no cure but you can get some meds that ease the breakouts.travel see a doc it is deadly.. the outbreaks are treatable with medication and there are medication that prevent outbreaks from occuring, but you will always have herpes and you will other put…

Is genital herpes cureable?
No singular controlable. Most outbreaks are associated with stress so find a laid back girlfriend if not. Genital herpes is caused by a virus, and there is no cure. Unfortunately no. The symptoms can be controlled (to a degree) with medication nosorry None that I know of yet, but…

Is genital herpes dangerous?
? No, in recent times really really really annoying. NO its not life threatenng. for a few days its just a prickly inconveninece. if u can take the pain of an out break next it shouldn’t interfere with your life. your dating or social energy may…

Is genital herpes equal as oral herpes?
I get cold sores once in a while. Does this be going to that i have this virus in me forever, and it can come about at anytime? And if my boyfriend has never had a cold sore, does this stingy that he doesnt have…

Is genital herpes genetic?
My mother might have genital herpes from her first husband. I was wondering if it’s genetic, surrounded by case I have to put on alert future partners. Is it? Thank you for taking the time to answer my ask. no it’s not genetic, hun. it’s a sexually transmitted…

Is genital herpes heritable?
yea According to this site, no it is not…It is important to note that genital herpes does not affect fertility, is not inherent, and is not associated with developing cervical cancer. However in some instances, it can pose problems during pregnancy.PregnancyIf you have genital herpes before becoming pregnant, the risk to…

Is genital herpes normally misdiagnosed?
I starting dating a guy who recently got out of a long residence relationship because his girlfriend cheated. He noticed some pimples on his penis and went to the doctor, who within turn told him it was folliculitis (I saw the paperwork and the medication that was prescribed)

Is genital herpes or genital wart (HPV) worst to own?
Im sure theyre both pretty harsh but which would be worst for your health and put you at risks for other stuff? Herpes does not go away and most kinds of hpv are low risk. One entry about Hpv is that 90% of…

Is genital herpes other bloody, and or itch?
Most people with herpes enjoy no symptoms at all. Most people beside herpes don’t know that they have it, because they have no outbreaks, no twinge, no itching, nothing – even though they can still infect other people.Since you don’t enunciate what your symptoms ARE,…

Is genital herpes prickly or does it purely itch?
is herpes painful or does is JUST itch? or could it be either one is a symptom? genital herpes involves formation of a blister, which itches, afterwards the blister breaks, and it hurts or stings. Source(s): RN The immensely first outbreak last…

Is Genital Herpes raw?
..or can it feel like nil at all? I think I’m chafing, but I can’t be sure. It have a couple scab like patches on it. They own been there for in the region of a year now… I figure they pinch forever to heal because the penis is…

Is Genital Herpes really as discouraging as society meditate?
I’m just wondering because I read that as many as 70% of ancestors with Genital Herpes don’t know they have it and don’t enjoy any symptoms. So if someone has it but never has any symptoms and it doesn’t effect any other problems,…

Is Genital Herpes Type 1 Contagious?
My friend has genital herpes type 1. She said her doctor said that it is not contagious unless she has an outbreak. I other heard that it doesn’t matter what type it is. It is still contagious even short an outbreak.Sooo If you have Genital Herpes…

Is genital herpes type 2 worse than genital herpes type 1?
As far as outbreaks, frequency of outbreaks etc. Read this article:Good Virus/Bad Virus http://www.herpes.com/hsv1-2.html Source(s): I have HSV2 I dont know about the frequency or how doomed to failure the outbreaks are, but both of them can be…

Is genital herpes type 2 worse than genital herpes type 1?
I know they both cause sores and i know they both suck but does one cause worse outbreaks than the other? Does anyone enjoy personal experience with having genital hsv-1? Type 2 statistically has a higher incidence of severe, longer-lasting…

Is genital wart like as genital herpes?
NO.Warts are growths and can be removed.Herepes is something that producecs nasty blisters that ooze and it never goes away. I know I NEVER want to find out… Genital warts are caused by HPV which is different than genital Herpes. Both virus stay in the body…

Is HBalm for genital herpes a scam?
I noticed on this site…a few folks mentioning HBalm to keep genital herpes outbreaks away…I ordered it (a bit expensive!)It worried me a bit when I received it – since toddler oil, vaseline, bath oilthey all irritate me just adequate to trigger an outbreak! And when…

Is here a cream that I can buy at a pharmacy to give support to my genital herpes outbreak?
I just had a freaking outbreak the final weekend of april which was my first and they cleared and I could pee without frying. Now they subsidise already its just one sore on the…

Is here a cure for genital herpes? what are the symptoms and what is the treatment?
yeh you run to your doctors and then they wil either submit you to a hospital or provide you some cream to use to clear things up Sorry, here is no cure. Once you have the virus in your…

Is here a difference between genital warts herpes??
if you have a pic that would help, thankfulness.also if there is a pen size red dot,(no head,a moment ago red),what could that be?dr.appt next week just looking for answer Genital wart are caused by one virus – HPV (Human Papillomavirus). Some…

Is here a Genital Herpes Surgery?
I was recently diagnosed near genital herpes and I have had my second outbreak. I notice that my second outbreak was in the exact same spot as my first outbreak. I know that Herpes wraps itself around the boldness and waits for the next outbreak. With adjectives…

Herpes is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases in America, so it is important for us to have an understanding of the condition so that we can take the proper measures to prevent it, or treat it if we already have contracted it.

There are two types of herpes, caused by two different herpes simplex viruses: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both types of herpes can infect either the oral or genital area, or sometimes, both. The infection causes signs and symptoms that may come and go. There is no cure for herpes, but the symptoms can be treated and relieved with certain medications and treatments.

When the herpes infection is on or around the mouth, it is called oral herpes. Oral herpes causes sores on the mouth or lips called “fever blisters” or “cold sores.” Oral herpes is usually caused by the type 1 of the virus.

When a herpes infection is on or near the genitals, it is called genital herpes. Genital herpes is usually caused by type 2 of the herpes virus. However, in recent years, it is more and more common to find occurrences of type 1 in the genitals, as oral sex is becoming a more popular practice.

You get genital herpes through direct skin-to-skin contact, usually during vaginal or anal sex. The herpes virus is most contagious when herpes sores are open, but herpes can be spread even when there are no sores present and no signs of an infection. If someone with oral herpes gives oral sex to his or her partner, the partner can develop genital herpes. In this way, some cases of genital herpes are caused by HSV-1, instead of the usual transmission by genital-to-genital contact.

Contrary to some myths, the only way to spread genital herpes is through skin contact. You can’t get genital herpes from swimming pools, towels or toilet seats.

The first outbreak’s symptoms are usually more severe than subsequent outbreaks of herpes. When the initial outbreak is over, the herpes virus becomes inactive and does not cause symptoms. This period is called dormant infection. At any time after this, the virus can reactivate and cause sores again.

Once you have contracted herpes, you have it for life, and may experience repeated flare-ups called a “recurrences” or “outbreaks.” Each person has his or her own unique pattern of recurrences. Genital herpes caused by type 2 of the virus is much more likely to cause frequent recurrences than genital herpes caused by type 1. The frequency, duration and severity of outbreaks can be greatly reduced with herbal treatments.

During genital herpes outbreaks, people may experience the following:

* discomfort or pain around the genitals, legs or buttocks

* swollen lymph nodes in the groin area

* burning or itching while urinating

* difficulty urinating or constipation

* fever, chills, headaches, body aches or other flu-like symptoms

Keep in mind though, for many individuals, no symptoms are experienced. So, if you think you’ve been exposed to the herpes virus, the best way to find out for sure is to be tested.

Even though a person may not know the exact cause of an outbreak, he or she may sense that an outbreak is coming. These signs can include tingling, itching, numbness or tenderness where the sores will appear. There can be pain near the buttocks, back of legs or lower back. These may start a few hours to a day before the sores actually appear on the skin.

Sores can re-appear anywhere on or near the genitals, often at the same place as they initially appeared.

Luckily, there have been many advancements to assist individuals who suffer from genital herpes, especially in the way of herbal treatments. There are many compounds found in nature that aid in the reduction of herpes outbreaks, frequency and duration. Not affiliated with big pharmaceutical companies, these natural remedies are typically affordable and easily accessible.

Following entry and infection of nerve endings, HSV is transported by retrograde movement to the nuclei of sensory ganglia. The available evidence indicates that the virus multiplies in a small number of sensory neurons. In the majority of the infected neurons, the viral genome remains in an episomal state for the entire life of the individual. Reactivations occur following a variety of local or systemic stimuli such as physical or emotional stress, fever, exposure to ultraviolet light, tissue damage, and immunosuppression.

The synthesis of viral gene products takes place in three sequential periods. The first set of viral gene products consists of six proteins known as immediate early proteins. Of these, five regulate the reproductive cycle of the virus, and one blocks the presentation of antigenic peptides on the infected cell surfaces. Immediate early proteins are essential for the synthesis of the second set of viral gene products, known as early proteins. Most of the early proteins are responsible for viral nucleic acid metabolism and are the main target of antiviral chemotherapy.

The third class of proteins is for the most part the structural components of the virion. They assemble to form the capsid and tegument, and they incorporate into nuclear membranes for eventual envelopment of virions. In the process of viral assembly, a procapsid is formed from scaffolding and capsid proteins. The scaffolding proteins consist of a protease and its substrate, with the protease cleaving the substrate during capsid assembly. The newly synthesized DNA is cleaved into unit-length molecules and packaged into the virions.

Generally, envelopment favors capsids containing DNA. Capsids containing DNA attach to the nuclear surface of the inner nuclear membrane and are rapidly enveloped and released into the space between the inner and outer nuclear membranes. Here, the virions become encased in transport vesicles and are transported through vesicles formed by fragmented and dispersed Golgi stacks to the extracellular space. The latency of HSV has been recognized biologically since the beginning of last century.

Patients treated for trigeminal neuralgia by the sectioning of a branch of the trigeminal nerve have developed herpetic lesions along the innervated areas of the sectioned branch. Reactivation of latent virus appears dependent on an intact anterior nerve route and peripheral nerve pathways. Recurrences occur in the presence of both cell-mediated and humoral immunity. Recurrent herpes labialis is three times more frequent in febrile patients than in nonfebrile controls. Latent virus can be retrieved unilaterally or bilaterally from the trigeminal, sacral, and vagal ganglia of humans.

The recovery of virus by in vitro cultivation of trigeminal ganglia helps explain the observation that vesicles recur at the same site in humans, usually the vermilion border of the lip. Little is known regarding the mechanisms by which the virus establishes and maintains a latent state or is reactivated. In fact, disagreements exist on the fate of neurons in which latent virus has become reactivated. Herpes infections are much more common than most people realize. Herpes cures are among the most difficult dermatological treatments to have success with.

Plant medicine is a natural and potent anti-herpes agent vital in the treatment of herpes. Application of this antiviral treatment inhibits and kills the herpes virus, making it an important and versatile remedy in the fight against herpes. Plant medicine for herpes is composed of naturally occurring high intensity antiviral extracts which have a lethal effect against HSV upon exposure. It comes as no surprise that application of this product during prodrome, the tingling before an outbreak, can prevent herpes blisters forming, aborting the pending flare up altogether.

This treatment provides maximum and rapid penetration of antiviral agents into cell membranes without damaging human cells. The mode of action of plant medicine as an anti-herpes agent is particularly interesting not only in consideration of its ability to inactivate the extra cellular herpes virus at very low concentrations, but also for its ability to inhibit the cell-to-cell virus diffusion in already infected cells, which makes this treatment one of a kind and superior to all others.

A lot of people are introverted when it comes to sexual conversation. I love talking to my girl friends regarding on their experiences which literally opens the conversation for some serious talks. I heard a lot of concerns and questions especially from women who are worrying for some little thing that they noticed as they are active on sex. So what is STD? What about the virus and infection that we might get from having sexual intercourse?

Sexually Transmitted Disease or STD or sometimes referred as sexually transmitted infections has been around for thousand of years. The most dangerous condition of these infection is human immunodeficiency virus or HIV which been recognized in recent decades. These diseases can spread through sexual activities and not just sexual intercourse which includes kissing, oral-genital contact, and the use of sexual “toys,” such as vibrators.

Genital herpes is considered as a viral infection by the herpes simplex virus (HSV) that is transmitted through intimate contact. Most genital herpes is caused by HSV-2. When signs do occur, they typically appear as one or more blisters on or around the genitals or rectum. This infection is most common in women (approximately one out of four women) than in men (almost one out of eight). This may due to male-to-female transmission being more likely than female-to-male transmission.

Around 50 million persons in the United States are infected with genital herpes. Experts believed that 60% of sexually active adults carry the herpes virus. Women who are infected do not know that they are infected as mild itching or minimal discomfort is the only symptoms. Moreover, the longer the woman has had the virus, the fewer the symptoms they have with their outbreaks. Lastly, the virus can shed from the cervix into the vagina in women who are not experiencing any symptom.

Recurrent genital herpes infections are milder than the primary infection. Most people who have a recurrent HSV infection have burning, tingling, or pain in the area of the outbreak up to 24 hours before any visible time. A recurrence of genital herpes typically occurs spontaneously, and it can be triggered by conditions such as fever or illness, sun exposure, hormonal changes like due to menstruation and pregnancy, stress, trauma, surgery, friction to the area like with sexual intercourse or tight-fitting clothes. In addition, genital herpes can lead to potentially fatal infections in babies and may play a role in the spread of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.

Here is the glimpse of facts regarding HSV infections and STD’s.

• Condoms do not usually prevent sexually transmitted diseases.

• HSV infections or genital herpes is a viral infection that can cause painful genital sores and recurrent outbreaks.

• A lot of people are infected with genital herpes but remains unaware. The virus can spread by direct person-to-person contact.

• An infected person may transmit the virus to others even he/she has no symptoms at present. There is no cure for genital herpes but the pain and outbreaks can be break with antiviral medications such as natural homeopathic relief formula.

Today, there’s a lot of remedy for every pain. All I can say is to be careful in choosing a product. Genital herpes is not a simple thing as we know the worst scenario that it can bring. What important is to know our partner first, to be open with each other particularly in sexual matters.

Even today, people around the world are still searching for the most effective method to cure genital herpes. Ways to control and prevent this virus are the benchmarks that are trying to be reached. Although this virus is painful and overwhelming, and doctors have yet to find a cure, there are many ways that an individual can control the virus.

In the meantime, an individual can focus on prevention and control as a form of genital herpes treatment. These are factors that can be managed. Making sure that the area is clean and dry at all times is a major hygiene prevention method. The likelihood of spreading the virus is greatly minimized when this is attended to. Always remember to wash your hands frequently. Keeping good hygiene practices is in general a good idea, but it is especially important when dealing with an outbreak.

Another factor that you can control is keeping stress and keeping emotional ups and downs at bay. Outbreaks may occur more frequently when stress is not handled and managed properly. When stressed, your body produces more stomach acids and this provides a great place for the virus to thrive. Keeping the level of acid down in the body, and keeping the alkaline levels up will help flare ups from occurring.

Another crucial genital herpes treatment is eating a healthy and well balanced diet that will help you prevent and control outbreaks. Foods like chicken and fish will keep your body more alkaline, and this will discourage the virus from getting out of control. Drinking lots of water, eight to 10 glasses a day, is also a generally a good health practice to follow.

Keeping a strong reserve of vitamins in the body will strengthen your immune system and help prevent and stave of the herpes virus. Vitamin C and Zinc are especially important. Vitamin C is an all around boost to your immune system and Zinc has been shown to lessen the severity of outbreaks.

Another effective genital herpes treatment that has come into play only in recent times is the amino acid Lysine. It is said that it can slow the spread of the virus and keeping the right levels in your system can be beneficial. Some foods that contain Lysine are milk and milk products, beef, fruits and vegetables. Avoiding some types of foods can also be helpful, such as soda, chocolate, grains and nuts.

Recently, natural remedies have also become popular as herpes treatments. The herbs Echinacea, Lemon Balm, and Calendula are all said to help build immunity and help lessen the outbreaks of genital herpes.

When you’re dealing with a condition like herpes, prevention is always better than cure. Being able to keep an outbreak from occurring at all is so much better than just making it shorter or less painful. However, there is no actual cure for herpes right now. There are, though, some herpes medication options that allow for some prevention of outbreaks from the disease.

One of the main ways that doctors prevent severe herpes outbreaks that occur frequently is to treat a patient with constant doses of antiviral medication. For those who have six or more outbreaks a year, this is the most common treatment. It helps to cut down on the number of outbreaks that occur by 70-80% for must sufferers. This condition is painful enough to deal with, but when you have an outbreak every couple of months, it’s nearly unbearable. Treatment with constant medication may be a good option in this case.

Another option is to use a medication that can be applied to the area in question just before a herpes outbreak. For the most part, you can feel when herpes outbreaks are coming on. The tingling and burning sensation is unmistakable for most sufferers. Instead of just letting an outbreak come on, you can actually treat the area with a topical, natural medication that will prevent it from happening at all. Sometimes it doesn’t totally prevent it, but it can at least shorten the duration of an outbreak and keep it from being so severe.

There are also lifestyle changes that sufferers can use in conjunction with herpes medication to prevent outbreaks. Stress, for instance, has been linked to increased numbers of outbreaks for many sufferers. Simply by cutting stress levels down through meditation, yoga, or other lifestyle changes you can prevent as many outbreaks from occurring. Artificial sweeteners like aspartame are also linked to increased numbers of outbreaks. Avoiding these sweeteners can be a good way to decrease the number of outbreaks you have.

Using herpes medication regularly can often help keep more breakouts from occurring. Even some new over the counter medications can cut back on the number of outbreaks patients suffer from. Using these every single time you feel an outbreak coming on can actually prevent future outbreaks from occurring. While nothing yet can totally get rid of herpes, using these medications on a regular basis can make it much easier to deal with.

Cold sores or fever blisters as they are commonly known are caused by the herpes simplex virus type I (HSV-I). This infection is highly contagious and one should be careful not to infect other if one has it and vice versa. This virus enters the body at an early age of five years and lies dormant for life until it is triggered. Usually it enters the body through broken mucous membrane near the mouth or on the facial areas. This infection is not to be confused with canker sores which appear inside the mouth and are not contagious.

The surest way of getting this infection is by sharing utensils with an infected person, lip balm or even facial towels. Kissing no matter how tempting it is, is a no go zone if your partner has this infection. Washing or disinfecting your hands after touching the infected areas is a must if you do not want to cross contaminate other areas of your body.

Most people have the HSV-I virus and can still infect others. There is no guarantee or a sure way of staying clear of this infection. You can also get the virus when an infected person sneezes or through a dusty place. The primary stage which is when you have a burning sensation is less risky as compared to the weeping stage when the blister bursts and the liquid oozes out.

There, you now have it, cold sores are contagious and great care as mentioned above must be taken to keep this embarrassing infection at bay. It takes up to 14 days to heal leaving no scar. The virus lies dormant in the nerve cell until it is triggered. It is therefore of great importance for you to know exactly what triggers this virus in your body.

best way to treat a cold sore

The word herpes evokes an emotional response from almost everyone. Eighty percent of the world’s population has serological evidence of the herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1, generally orolabial herpes), while 20 to 30 percent of the U.S. population is seropositive for the herpes virus type 2 (HSV-2, generally genital herpes). Add chickenpox, shingles, the immunosuppressant drugs used by cancer and organ-transplant patients, along with the increasing number of immunosuppressed patients who have HIV and AIDS, and it’s not hard to understand why we are now seeing a greater incidence of herpes infections. Oral herpes affects areas of the mouth and face. Herpes type 1 (HSV1) is the most common cause of oral herpes. However herpes type 2 (HSV2) can also cause oral herpes infections. In other words, either HSV1 or HSV2 may be responsible for oral herpes. Recurring symptoms or outbreaks may develop as soon as 5 to 10 days after the initial infection. Symptoms include painful blisters around the mouth, often accompanied by a cold or fever, hence the term “cold” sores or “fever” blisters. Immunity plays a key role in outbreaks. When the system is stressed or the immune system is weakened, the virus travels down the ganglia and resurfaces on the skin, causing an outbreak. Depending on what study you wish to believe, well over 90% of the US population will test positive for having either HSV1 or HSV2. For reasons unknown, HSV2 seems to gravitate towards the genital tract and is therefore the most common cause of genital herpes. However, HSV1 can also manifest in the genital region and cause genital herpes. When the virus erupts on the surface of the skin, causing an outbreak, typical symptoms are inflamed blisters or ulcers. As the infection is caused by the either HSV1 or HSV2, lesions resemble cold sores. The first outbreak commonly reveals its aggravating presence 4 to 7 days after the initial infection of HSV. In females, outbreaks occur on or near the vulva, labia, clitoris, pubis, or anus. In males, herpes lesions can appear anywhere on the penis, scrotum, or around the anus. Outbreaks are commonly accompanied by pain, itching, or burning. Some experience enlarged lymph nodes, muscle pain, and fatigue. Some experience prodrome before an outbreak. This is a tingling, itching, or painful sensation experienced prior to an outbreak. Prodrome symptoms may be experienced for several days or for a few hours.

best way to treat a cold sore

Use of an antiviral treatment (oral or topical) during prodrome is known to reduce the duration of an outbreak, and it may even abort the outbreak for some individuals. Unfortunately, there is no known “cure” for herpes. Use of a condom is recognized to be the most reliable method to prevent transmission of the virus. However, effective treatments are available which can reduce the frequency and severity of outbreaks, stop viral reproduction, and reduce viral load, all of which greatly mitigate outbreaks and allow sufferers to control the condition. Acyclovir is the most popular drug prescribed for herpes. However, the emergence of aciclovir-resistant virus strains has created the need for the development of new effective antiviral agents. New anti-herpetic chemical drug compounds have been identified, but they have significant adverse effects when consumed and HSV has again developed drug resistance to these new compounds. As new chemical drug options are not viable, alternative antiviral options are being investigated with great interest. Recent scientific studies of medicinal antiviral plant extracts show very encouraging results, and have sparked a new methodology for treating herpes. Studies of these antiviral extracts demonstrate that many of these compounds exhibit significant anti-herpetic activity. Several actually inactivate HSV with great effectiveness. These antiviral extracts represent new effective treatment options for therapeutic use as virucidal agents for recurring herpes infections. HSVCurative is a potent all natural antiviral cure for herpes, highly effective against HSV1 and HSV2; it has a wide spectrum of antiviral activity against these viruses. The antiviral extracts in this treatment have the ability to inactivate and destroy HSV, which has been established in published clinical trials. It is to be applied directly to an outbreak. HSVCurative is used specifically to treat HSV1 and HSV2 infections and acts as a curative agent against both these strains of herpes. It exhibits a pronounced anti-herpetic activity against HSV1 and HSV2 and actually kills these viruses upon exposure regardless of location on the body. HSVCurative contains certified organic medicinal plant extracts and antiviral essential oils which cause cellular death to HSV1 and HSV2 in scientific studies. The importance of applying certified organic material to outbreaks or open sores cannot be overstated. To learn more, please go http://www.bcured.net.

getstdtested.com Dr. Sabrina Kendrick, Director of the Ruth M. Rothstein CORE Center, talks about Herpes. Real Help on Herpes; Sabrina Kendrick, MD; Brought to you by getstdtested.com. Herpes is one of the most common infections in the United States. There is type I or Oral Herpes which is not a sexually transmitted disease and then there is type II or Genital Herpes that is a sexually transmitted disease. Herpes type I and type II are both transmitted skin-to-skin contact. Herpes can be tested by culture of the lesion or it can be tested by a blood-based laboratory test. Well there is no cure for Herpes, but there are medications to heal the lesion and stop the pain. When Herpes is untreated, usually it goes away on its own, but it can return, and when it does return it usually causes lots of pain. Well its important to know that if you have Oral Herpes or Type I that when you have an active sore that you should not participate in oral sex at all. However, for Type II, Genital Herpes, a person who has this is always infectious and it is important for these people to always use protection when they have sex and if there is an active genital lesion then they should not have sex at all. A person who presents with a genital ulcer should be tested for Herpes.
