After traveling, these viruses hide in the root of nerve and wait until they get activated.When the virus is activated, it travels back to the skin, causing a tingling sensation. When the sore appears, it’s itchy, painful and embarrassing because it’s so noticeable.Many things like menstrual periods, bright sunlight, cold winds, emotional upset and many more can trigger the attack of cold sores.
